Steyn City Parkland Smart Home System
A newly-built home in the beautiful Steyn City Parkland Residence needed just one more touch after being spectacularly finished off. What you ask? Home Automation, what else?
An Installation To Remember
Sound Xperience was delighted to be tasked with installing an automation system in this freshly-built, ready to be lived in home in a delightful suburb to the North of Joburg.
Jobs like these, big jobs that we can really get stuck in to, ignite a passion in our technicians, and this installation was not one to be forgotten.
The Start Of The Automation
We started off with the lighting – always a good place to start. For this, we integrated the client’s downlights, chandeliers, and outdoor lighting into an automation system, enabling the client to control all the lights in his home, at the touch of a button. The client can switch lights on and off, and dim at will, the entire home, without having to leave the comfort of his couch. Convenience and class, what more could you ask for?
Automated Blinds Integration
But what good are lights when the sun shines in through the windows relentlessly? Well, Sound Xperience then integrated the client’s Somfy blinds into the automation system. Now, the blinds open and close automatically, at pre-programmed times. They can also, like the lights, be controlled at the touch of the button, without the homeowner having to be in the room or the country for that matter.
Security Automation
We also installed 10 analogue HD cameras throughout the inside and around the outside of the gorgeous, sprawling home. These can be accessed from the homeowners Smartphone, meaning that no matter where he is in the world, he will always be able to check in on his home, ensuring the safety of his family and belongings. These cameras can be viewed live, and can record footage, so the client has options when viewing his cameras.
The Beautiful Cinema System
The client also requested a great cinema system. For this, we installed the Jamo IC608 in-ceiling speakers and a Denon AVR-X2400H amplifier.
This is a system that sounds simply exceptional and offers a whole new world of thrilling 3D surround sound. And looks really great too. The client can feel completely immersed in his viewing, being surrounded by only the best sound quality.
“Although the job took a long time, the end product is very upmarket and we were proud to have been a part of this project,” said Sound Xperience’s technical manager, Paul McGill.
