Control4 Intercom Anywhere App

You can now communicate with, and welcome visitors to your home, even when you are not home yourself!

Control4 has just announced its new Intercom Anywhere functionality which includes a brand-new app for both iOS and Android mobile devices.

With Intercom Anywhere, homeowners whose homes are controlled by Control4 Home Automation can receive video intercom calls from their Door Station, enabling them to see and communicate with visitors at the front door or gate, whether they’re home or not.

In addition, Smart Home owners can now see who is at the door prior to answering the call, and they are able to simultaneously turn on the lights, open the gate, or unlock the door or garage in response. Homeowners can also quickly activate alerts such as sounding an alarm, as an additional safety measure.

The app is designed to launch and connect quickly, and by providing video previews from the Control4 Door Station, like caller-id for the front door, homeowners can ignore unwanted calls, answer calls from a welcomed guest, or accept a delivery – even when they’re miles away. How great is that?

The set-up also provides new ways for family members to communicate, as they can make calls from Control4 Touch Screens within the home to a family member’s mobile phone, or vice versa.

The system delivers a complete audio/video intercom system with sleek door stations and dedicated interactive video touch screens – all with premium audio and video quality.

The Intercom Anywhere app can be downloaded now from the Apple store or the Google Play store.

To activate and use Intercom Anywhere, a Control4 home must be running the latest Control4 OS (v

2.10.3), and also have an active 4Sight subscription.
