Top-notch automation in the heart of Joburg North

When we are privileged enough to be invited in, to play a role in the creation of your happiness, we do not take the invitation lightly! We plan, we prepare, and we deliver!
Earlier this year, we were tasked with the automation of a beautiful home in the North of Joburg. The job was instantly appealing, giving us the opportunity to show what we, and our products could do; an opportunity to showcase our expertise and workmanship and to push ourselves and our equipment to achieve great things.
So first things first – we plan.
After meeting with the client to establish his specific needs, our project management team conducted a site survey to assess the immediate requirements. This survey included cable routes, dimming/switching capabilities for lighting circuits and AV needs for each space. We drew up plans and made equipment suggestions to the client. We explained our processes, answered his questions and presented our solutions.
Then – we prepare.
With the paperwork out of the way, we tucked into one of the most essential aspects of any job – the preparation. Our installation team was called in to test, label and install all necessary cabling – a mammoth task indeed. This installation is conducted with the greatest care possible, ensuring neatness and accuracy. This is, after-all, the groundwork for an out-of-this-world system.
From there on, came the fun part – the fitting and commissioning of the system – and what a system it turned out to be!
We started by installing 2 in-ceiling home theatre systems; 1 in the lounge and another in the main bedroom. The team installed stunning Jamo IC 608 speakers, Denon X3200 amplifiers and J112 sub-woofers (2 in the lounge, and one in the bedroom) – creating a perfect 5.2 surround sound system in the lounge, and 5.1 system in the main bedroom!
The main bedroom was also fitted with a high-quality Samsung 75 inch UHD TV – yes please!
In the lounge we installed, wait for it… the crème de la crème of screens – a Screen Innovations 120-inch Black Diamond screen (we will wait while you recover from your awed silence!) This screen is a masterpiece – the best that money can buy!
This we paired with an Optoma UHD 60 projector for out-of-this-world AV quality – movies the way they were made to be!
We then installed 5 zones of stereo-paired Monitor Audio speakers, amplified by a Denon Heos drive, for optimal sound quality throughout the home. UHD was supplied to all the TV’s in the house, 6 in total, using a PHD 8×8 UHD HDMI matrix.
To top it off we automated 36 zones of lighting using Control4 wireless lighting, brought together with a Control4 controller. The Paradox alarm system was also seamlessly integrated into the home automation. For a little bit extra class, we installed an iPad mini launch port for wireless charging.
Finally – we delivered.
This home truly is controlled at the touch of a button – home automation at its best.
